Production pricing shouldn’t be
a guessing game.
So we built the calculator we use internally at Purple Spider — and made it public.
It’s not magic. It’s just the real framework behind how we price campaigns and usage.
Use it. Share it. Build smarter.
How To Use:
Start on the Budget tab. Add crew, equipment, and locations for your production.
Select a tier for each item — Silver (budget-friendly), Gold (mid-range), or Diamond (premium) — to set the rate level.
Set the quantity for each line item. For crew, individual rows will appear so you can assign names and actual rates as you book talent.
Toggle "Booked" once a crew member, vendor, or location is confirmed.
Use the pencil icon to add notes to any line item. Use "+ Custom item" for anything not on the list.
Set your Agency Fee (15–30%) and Contingency (5–10%) at the bottom of the Budget page.
Head to Usage Rights to calculate licensing fees based on project type, media, duration, and region.
The Dashboard shows your full production estimate — budget vs confirmed spend, final cost breakdown, and project total.
